Page Load Time
Measure web page load time.
Page Load Time
Our Page Load Time measuring tool can be regarded as the “ping” command for websites, but with enhanced capabilities. It provides a detailed breakdown of your web page's loading process, helping you identify bottlenecks and improve user experience. The measurements are conducted by our server, providing a valuable "second opinion" during troubleshooting of site connectivity issues.
The tool assesses various page load parameters and presents the following results:
- Effective URL: The final destination URL after all redirects.
- Response Code: The last HTTP response status code returned by the web server.
- Redirect(s): Displays the time spent on all redirection steps, including name lookup, connection, and transfers (not included in any of the following measurements and the total time below).
- Name Lookup: The time spent on the name resolution for the effective URL. The beginning of the Name Lookup is the starting point for all following measurements.
- Connection Ready: The time from the start until the TCP connection to the web server is established (includes the Name Lookup time).
- SSL/TLS Ready: The time from the start until the SSL/TLS connect/handshake to the web server is completed.
- Ready to Send: Indicates the time from the start until just before the request is sent to the server.
- Time to First Byte (TTFB): The time from the start until the first byte is received from the web server, encompassing the server's page preparation time.
- Total Load Time: Provides the overall time taken for the complete page load, excluding redirects.
By leveraging these detailed metrics, our tool equips you with the insights needed to optimize your web page's performance and enhance the overall user experience.
